Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!!! Room 210

My name is Ms. Castro and I will be co-teaching  with Ms. Douglas this year.  Mr. Foster will also be joining our class as a Special Education Classroom Assistant. This is my third year teaching at Ryder. I am the Diverse Learner Teacher. I have been teaching for over twenty years.  I currently have my Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and my Master’s degree in educational leadership.  I also have an endorsement in early childhood, special education as well as my principalship. I have worked with children from infants to sixth grade.  I have taught students in general education, gifted education and diverse learners.  Some of the things I like to do are singing and dancing. I am excited to engage with your families this school year!

We hope you took time to enjoy your summer.  We know that since the pandemic both families and educators have been faced with many changes.  We are looking forward to partnering with you in this rewarding educational experience for you and your child.
