Rogers chose to join the military after graduation he was a member of the army for a 8 years Mister Rogers they have three beautiful children Ashley Autumn Addison they are a very creative family his wife Nicole is a freelance makeup artist is a comedian DJ actor has been featured on several popular comedy shows including Showtime at the Apollo this bad boys of Comedy Barbershop just to name a few he also been speaker on Windy City Live during my interview with him what was one of his toughest thing she has  with me that FaceTime Jessica's father at the tender age of seven was very tough but that he would have to say living as a black man in America has been a struggle as an adult he has really good advice for students headed to high school that I'm sure the rider class of 2020 what's up everybody how you doing today man I hope you all are excited as I am I got called upon to do the commencement speech for the William ride around graduating class of 2020 I have made it my mom and I know I can always come over here and get some it's about I'm so proud of each and every one of you all that is sitting out here and about to go on to your next Journey which is high school okay what's going on in this city you know especially dealing with people of color so you have to go through all of the Side sub dealing with that but none the less you are a graduate you are special this is a special year man gets a year in trouble and you're going on next level high school and I'm so proud of you man you're doing the RAM and I got some love to my girls Shania and Jerry nice for me feel so special very dope individuals very great female they're going to be president one day man I could not be more proud of you you know I'm going to give you a little something that I like to go by and maybe you can take it with you on in your life okay I already gave it to us and Tenaya I like to call it the five the five teams I'm going to share this with you all right now the 5-piece real simple but it's okay to go to high school people some of your old friends might go with you if you go to the same high school before the most part he's going to be meeting new people net worth with new friends building your network right this is where you start building your network High School you start meeting people from other cultures in about other people something within yourself what do you want to do in life what do you want to be what do you want to go right what's your path is being a comedian and I love music. Could do all day for free but I would find out what you mean but if you want to find that passion take pride in that the second piece is the First Tee pride is the second piece what I meant by pride is okay I like the DJ so I try to make sure I'm up on the current music I try to make sure that my GF somebody asked me for a business card what you do about makeup even though she's a makeup artist always constantly trying to get better and that's what I mean is the third piece is one of them typical wants to deal with okay how to remain strong in the face of adversity what I mean by that you got to be with her you know what y'all know what y'all say so that means when stuff gets bad no matter how bad it gets keep your pride in your passion persevere you're going to hear no a lot in life more times than you here yet you have to be ready for that yet so always stay focused on the prize keep it going like even during these time this what you guys did you persevere through covid-19 you persevered through all of stuff that's been going on in Chicago and across the country you you did that nobody else nobody else but you you're gonna have to do the same thing in life because you know and it hurts enough passion and enough to know I'm stupid or I'm nice with it and I'm going to get what I wanted because I'm going to work hard to get in I'm going to persevere and each one of you are adults and they have to have that mindset I don't care what anybody says to you I don't care if anybody you have to walk to the beat of your own people that are taking lie to you when you take those blinders off yet what you going to be around those people just like yourself so persevere.
